Have you seen the power feature film “The Sound of Freedom?
Operation Triple Take is the Real, True Story behind the movie.
Operation Triple Take was a coordinated effort by Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.) to rescue sex trafficking victims in three different Colombian cities at the same time123. The operation took place in 2014 and involved months of planning and collaboration with local authorities13. The operation resulted in the arrest of 20 traffickers and the liberation of 123 survivors.
“Sound of Freedom” is an award-winning film that depicts both real-life and dramatized rescue missions to help save children who are being sex trafficked across the globe. According to O.U.R., some of these stories are based on the actual work of O.U.R.’s partnership with law enforcement to bring criminal traffickers to justice. Others are based on similar missions in other locales.

HTPA is bringing this story to stress that it is crucial to recognize that Hollywood often takes artistic liberties when depicting child trafficking. While some instances involve physically transporting children in vehicles, the majority of trafficking occurs through a manipulative grooming process.
The film ‘Sound of Freedom’ vividly portrays this process in child modeling scenes, where children (and occasionally their parents) are misled into believing they can earn money by modeling. The grooming tactics may include promises of food, shelter at the trafficker’s house, or even love if they comply.
It is so essential for parents, young adults, teens, and children to be aware of the signs of grooming so they can identify potential ill intentions.
